Qatar University is pleased to announce a competition for the best research posters for undergraduate students.
Mandatory participation
- For all undergraduate students funded by Qatar University research grants.
Optional participation
- For final-year undergraduate students, with a maximum of 4 students per team and a maximum of 3 teams per undergraduate program, provided that the college approves the application to the competition.
- For graduates who completed their studies one semester prior to the start of the current academic year, upon approval from the college. The total nominations per program must not exceed 3 teams.
Competition Topics
All research posters submitted must primarily be:
- The students' graduation project or thesis,
- A research project funded by the university,
- Or any other research approved by the colleges for eligible students whose programs do not include graduation projects or theses.

- Energy
- Resource Sustainability
- Health
- Society (Humanities and Social Sciences)
- Digital Technology
Awards will be granted based on criteria such as:
- Quality of the research submitted
- Impact of the research on the university or society
- Quality of the presentation and design
- Clarity of the research question and methodology
- Originality of the idea and quality of analysis
Prizes
Best Research Poster Awards:
- First place in each research priority: QAR 3,000 each (five awards)
- Second and third place in each research priority: Commemorative prizes
Best Public Interaction Award:
Important Notes
- The presentation must be in Arabic or English.
- At least one student author must be present during the evaluation.
- The research must not have previously competed in any Qatar University research symposium/conference.
- Awards are exclusively granted to submissions that meet the announced regulations.
- The conference committee will not conduct technical reviews; evaluation will rely solely on college nominations or a letter from the faculty principal investigator of an internal grant involving undergraduate students, along with a support letter from the affiliated research entity.
- Each team is responsible for printing its own poster; the conference team will not print any posters.

Deadlines
- Final deadline for abstract submission: March 15, 2026.
- Announcement of evaluation results will be during the Qatar University Annual Research Forum and Exhibition on April 14, 2026.
- Poster presentation dates for evaluation: April 12–13, 2026 (teams will be coordinated with to determine poster display locations).
